About this tool

What an accessibility statement is

An accessibility statement is a published page that discloses how accessible your site is, what standard you're checking it against, how you evaluated it, what's still known to be broken, and how someone can report a barrier. PerW3C guidance, a real statement names its evaluation method — that's why this tool asks how you checked, not just what the result was.

Why e-commerce and EU-facing sites need one

The European Accessibility Act requires many e-commerce and digital service providers selling into the EU to publish one. Beyond the legal requirement, a statement is also the first thing a screen reader user, an auditor, or a demand letter checks for — publishing one honestly (including limitations) is safer than saying nothing.

This tool is free and generates the statement instantly in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose to email yourself a copy. For the standards themselves, see ourWCAG 2.1 wiki.
